Another instrumental from the mad mind of Louis, this one was one of the first tracks we started to work together on post Paragon EP. This is one has a lot of metalcore influence and it was the first songs our vocalist Dalton wrote all the lyrics for on this album. Given that, this song is about turning into a zombie!

I lie awake yet motionless
my first breath fills my lungs with musty air.
Darkness surrounds, I hear no sounds,
just my heart beating much too loud.
It's not real go to sleep it will be over once I'm no more
Nails bent, splinters dig into my finger tips
the flesh scraping till it reaches the bone.
Panicking, I scratch and claw madly at the wood above my head.
Chewing a whole through the 2x4s only getting halfway through!

I've lost all sense of time, oh God why?
Buried alive, can you hear my cries?
Please just let me die!
Dirt seeps through the hole in the wood,
feeling no hope.
I must earn the will to live!

Filling me with pure bliss erasing all the pain,
I finally feel at peace.
I meet my end with what I thought was my last breath!

I can feel a hunger building within.
This is it for me now!
A voice inside my head,
now my only friend,
is telling me to feed.

The prison I was in can no longer hold me back from this.
Risen from the dead, wondering through the night.

Hunger consumes me I can finally see my feast.
The thought of tasting human flesh almost brings me my knees.

Filling me with pure bliss erasing all the pain.
I finally feel at peace.
I meet my end with what I thought was my last breath!

I lunge to attack,
Bite into his back.
Sinking teeth in flesh, tearing skin to shreds,
the helpless screams cease as I rip out his throat!
I can't consume fast enough to satisfy my
my overwhelming hunger for meat.
And this flesh bag is mine.
